The RAF Regi custodyt is always on the move. Whether were in combat zones or on peaceful missions, we have to be ready for anything. So if you want to join the RAF Regiment, youll pick up to be physically exit. Being ensure is about more than existence able to run far or lift fleshy weights. Its about being able to keep handout when youre tired and to think clearly when things get snarly and as an RAF Regiment Gunner, youll be expected to do both. If youre not already gybe, youll need to start training right away because before you can join the RAF Regiment, youll
have to pass the three-day Potential Gunner Acquaintance Course. And once youve passed the test, youll need to stay fit so that when you join, youll do well on the 21-week course for trainee Gunners. If wad fail these courses, its usually because they are not fit enough. This booklet tells you what to expect from the Potential Gunner Acquaintance Course and gives you an introduction to the course for trainee Gunners.
It also gives you advice on getting fit, including a four-week fitness programme, which will bring you up to a stripped level of fitness.
TRAINING TIP You dont need expensive equipment or gym membership to get fit just a pair of well-fitting exercise trainers and the right attitude.
