* Should Marijuana Be Legalized
Outlawed in 1937, the hemp plant Cannabis Sativa; kick downstairs known as marijuana has spurred aggressive movements to legalize its character by claiming that the illegal drug is shown to have health benefits to those crucifixion from a variety of diseases. At the forefront of this argument is the thought that legalization will result in job human beings by the inclusion of a legal marijuana industry, thusly putting income in the pockets of working Americans and revenue in the reach of our g overnment. However, marijuanas chemical properties can also take a crap harm to the brain, especially for users whose brain is still developing. Similar to cigarettes, the inlet of carcinogens poses additional risks to our lungs. While studies and arguments are on-going, marijuana is touted to be no more harmful to health than alcoholic beverages, numerous prescription drug drugs and cigarettes.
Finances are an important reason to legalize marijuana, to make it money and to make money in our weak economy. tax can be generated by the governments regulated sale and taxation of marijuana. Money can be saved by no longer enforcing the marijuana laws.
Over 25.8 million Americans admit to using marijuana within the last year (SAMHSA, 2009). The users are already spending this money, but the untaxed cash is going into the detainment of illegal sellers, growers, and smugglers.
