Abstract
This group project will discourse three industrial plant of art from the Earlier Renaissance era. The works of art that will be discussed and critiqued are: The Lamentation over the Body of Christ by Giovanni Bellini, The Last Communion of exaltation Jerome by Sandro Botticelli, and The Cestello Annuciation by Sandro Botticelli. The group will provide a brief history of the artist and critique each bit on materials used, style, meaning, symbolism, and other aesthetic issues.
Early Renaissance Art
A brief history of the Artists. Sandro Botticellis father was a tanner who apprenticed Sandro to a goldsmith after his culture was finished. Since the artist preferred painting, his father placed him under Filippo Lippi, an prize Florentine master. Lippi taught Botticelli the techniques of panel painting and fresco and gave him an assured engage of elongated perspective.
Botticelli, acquired from Lippi a repertory of types and compositions, certain graceful fancifulness costuming, linear sense of form, and a partiality to certain paler hues. Later on, Botticelli develop his own strong and resonant color schemes. By 1470, Botticelli was found in Florence as an independent master, he never married, and he lived with his family.
Giovanni Bellini was a painter and draughtsman, and the son of Jacopo Bellini. He came from an Italian family of artists. By the 1480s he had become a prima(p) master in all types of painting practiced in the 15th century Venice. He added new genres of mythological painting and profane allegory to his subjects. Giovanni showed an extraordinary capacity for absorbing a unsubtle range of artistic influences from Venetian tradition to outside sources. Bellini oversaw a technical revolution in painting, involving the abandonment use of bullock block tempera for the technique of oil painting pioneered in the Netherlands.
