1. Specific points for the selection of the Hardware
Temperature sensor
Requirements
Temperature quantifyment should be of non tint type.
Minimum response time should be 22?s to measure at least 20 temperature points in 200 mm portion of axle or roulette wheel for 160kmph train.
Temperature range of the sensor should be from 50C clC for axle and 50C - 250C for wheel to measure defective axle and breaking wheel.
The operation temperature should be minimum ambient temperature 10C to maximum ambient temperature 55C.
potential or current output sensor is prefer competent.
The pyrometer TMS35 was selected for the following reasons
Non contact temperature monitoring
Temperature measurement ranges 50 150° C for axle box and 50 300 ° C for wheel.
Temperature resolution < 1° C
Time invariant < 0.



1 msec.
Ambient temperature operate -40 +70° C
Output signals 4 20 mA.
It has two status signals to show its temperature and the state of pyro.

Trigger Sensor
Requirements
It should able to sense the wheel of 160kmph train.
It should be water proof and dis pointed to withstand the vibration of the track.
Output of the sensor should be digital.
Pepperl puchs (NJ50-FP-A-P1) with the mentioned precondition solves the purpose
