This weeks lesson started with me reviewing some of the sounds from last week. In order to read, we must setoff know and understand the sounds of the letters. After our review we began with lesson 3 and began to take with our grapheme sounds. These are sounds that are represented by a letter or group of letters that make up one sound such as ch, sh, and th. By using these shortcuts we were able to parachute the sounds to pass awayher to make lyric and begin our reading process. I had my student to take the shortcut ch and sh and call out spoken communication that have those sounds in them. I was really surprised that she related the sounds to the names of our family members kickoff and wherefore was able to come up with some words from her socio-economic class work. This same thing was done when we played the tic tac toe spicy and she was able to come up with words like Charlie, Shawn, Chucky, cease, and Shine. It did amaze me that she recognized the ch sound in Chucky cheese her favorite restaurant.
Using the shortcuts and sliding the sounds we were able to form words and from the words that we came up with, then we did our syllabication.



Of course we started with her name first and bring three syllables in AMiyah and then we found two in my name Eddie. When we arrived to the clip portion of the lesson is when I realized just how much she understood. We first read the sentence Chuck ran to the bus. She was able to recognize the grapheme and then had a clear understanding when I question her on the kernel of the sentence. Who ran to the bus? Chuck ran to the bus. I then made up another sentence, Charles unsympathetic the door. She answered Charles when I asked who shut the door. She also answered shut the door when I asked what Charles did.
