A disaster might strike at any moment and also a crowd 's response to it'll predictably be panic and will result to chaos. In an emergency case , essentially the most feasible alternative is to not panic, but panic is tough to manage as every person in the crowd will contribute towards general feeling of panic. Once a person believes that he /she is facing an imminent threat or danger to his /her life , it is a regular reaction that he /she may possibly seek to flee the case in a disorganized and uncontrollable manner. But as we now have noticed, panic is 1 from the reasons of preventable deaths in an emergency case because of the unpredictable and spontaneous collective behavior of crowds , imagine that a man is struck down by acid in a busy day in Grand Central station, plus a thousand men and women is running to get as far away from the scene as possible.
