Imperfect Syllogism
Enthymemes -an informally stated syllogism with an implied infix.Â
Ex.The glove doesnt fit the defendant.Â
The glove is evidence.Â

Types: gushy: proving an affirmative or shun proposition
Refutative: disproving an affirmative or negative proposition
Epicheremes -a syllogism in which a proof is joined to adept or two of the premises. The proof is often
expressed by a casual clause. The premise to which a proof is annexed is an enthymeme.
Ex. The gentlemans gentlemankind soul forms abstractionist thoughts; a being capable of abstract thoughts is
spiritual; a spiritual being is by temperament imperishable; a being naturally imperishable cannot be extinguish; a spiritual being that cannot be annihilated will live with an immortal life; therefore the human soul is immortal.
Sorites- A sorites is a sequence of enthymemes in which the unverbalised conclusion of
one syllogism is an unstated premise of the next syllogism.
Ex.(1).
Socrates is a philosopher
(2) All philosophers are human
(3) All humans are mortal
So, (4) Socrates is mortal

Conditional - Â a syllogism whose major premise is a qualified proposition. It is a mixed conditiona
syllogism if the minor premise is a conditional proposition or a pure conditional syllogism if both premises are conditional propositions.
Ex.Major premise: If freedom fighter is eating sweets every day, he is placinghimself at risk for diabetes.
