To Feed The World: The Genetic Engineering Issue

Global population hits 7 one thousand million is the headliner for the world news reported on October 31, 2011(usatoday.com). The over-explosion of the clement population has placed a burden on the artificial satellite and its natural resources. Among those is the need to annex agricultural egression. biotech makes it workable for farmers to grow crops faster and the green revolution can adjutant bird demand for crop growth and boost the economy. Even though another green revolution can help background world-wide hunger, it can cause further damage to the ecosystem.
Firstly, Biotechnology is not a new science. It has not only interpreted over the beas of food production but also of endocrine gland replacement, childbearing, and medicine just to name a few. Biotechnology uses cistrons of active organisms to develop and improve existing products through microbes, plants, humans and animals ( Keener, 2011). Recumbinant gene technology allows animals, microorganisms and plants to be genetically altered with novel traits which increase agricultural productivity (WHO, 2005, p.8).
Currently, we are facing a global crisis in food production where supply and demand are at odds.

This situation causes agflation, winning the price of food higher and causing many to go steady poverty and hunger (Turk, 2011, p3.1). Also, wheat, corn and rice prices have surged causing food riots in various countries which is all due to wanting(p) supply (Turk, 2011, p3.1).
